About this site
Top MBA Schools is an independent reference site for people deciding whether, where and how to apply to an MBA program. It is not affiliated with any business school, ranking publisher, test maker or admissions consultancy, and no school can pay to change its position or its profile.
What we publish
- A composite ranking of 25 top US full-time programs that averages each school's position across the four most-read published rankings, so that no single methodology dominates. The methodology explains the calculation and its limits.
- School profiles with the figures applicants ask about most: acceptance rate, GMAT and GRE medians, class size, tuition, cost of attendance, deadlines and post-MBA salary. Every figure is taken from the school's own class profile, employment report or admissions page, and each profile lists the source URL and the date we read it.
- Guides on admissions, testing, essays, cost, aid and program formats, written to explain the process rather than to sell a service.
- Tools such as the ROI calculator, which uses the published figures above as presets.
How the data is maintained
School data is refreshed each admissions cycle, when schools publish new class profiles (usually September to November) and employment reports (usually in the autumn). The current dataset was last checked on Nov 4, 2026. Where a school does not publish a figure, we show a dash rather than an estimate. If you spot an error, tell us and we will check the source and correct it.
How the site is funded
The site is supported by advertising served through Google AdSense and, in future, may include clearly labelled affiliate links or sponsored listings. Advertising never influences rankings, profiles or guides. Details are in the advertising disclosure and the editorial policy.
