Advertising disclosure

Running this site costs money: data collection, hosting and editorial time. We cover those costs with advertising so the content stays free to read.

Display advertising

Advertisements are served by Google AdSense and are labelled as advertisements where they appear. Google selects the ads; we do not choose or endorse the advertisers, and an ad appearing next to a school profile does not mean that school or advertiser has any relationship with us.

Affiliate links and sponsored listings

We do not currently use affiliate links or sponsored listings. If that changes, affected links will be labelled on the page, and sponsored listings will be kept visibly separate from the ranking and from each school's profile data.

What advertising does not affect

  • The composite ranking and each school's position in it.
  • Any figure on a school profile, which comes only from the school's published sources.
  • The content and recommendations in our guides.
